Gallery Module options:
• Ability to upload individual thumbnails to the flash/html gallery. Same thumbnail used for both types.
• Control the order of photos viewed. Huge frustration and complaint by photographers in that respect. Must be able to delete photo, put in new photo, and control order viewed.
• HTML and Flash Gallery to function and look the same in thumbnail size & image size. Should have the exact same size limitations.
• Gallery Categories with Albums within. (ie: Portrait gallery could include: Children's Portraits Album, Executive Portraits Album, Engagement Portraits Album, etc. Wedding Gallery could include: Bride, Groom, Ceremony, Reception, Romantics, Candids, etc.) These Galleries & Albums would be determined by the user. No limit to Galleries or Albums.
• Easily hide or show captions on both detail images. No captions on thumbnails. Show/hide caption editable per album, not just per gallery or module. Default set in module config, but over-ride options available.
• Batch upload capabilities
• Ability to easily enter URL below caption - good for displaying website design through gallery module or linking to shopping cart
• Sound that can be incorporated into the gallery - easily turned on or off by viewer
• Auto run flash slideshow like HTML.
• Thumbnails for gallery to live in Gallery Thumbnails folder, not regular Thumbnail folder
• Easily toggle between flash and HTML gallery - viewer activated
• Flash images activate on hover, instead of on click
What's New, Events New
Way to control number of items viewed separately.
Control number of lines displayed vs. characters displayed. Important when long words are used or when browsers display content differently.
Calendar
• Ability to select different thumbnails in same category.
• Event detail to contain text editor for better formatting, linking to other pages, etc.
• Style sheet to control color in calendar detail headings, etc.
Devotional module
• Have token available to start devotional on a specific page (i.e. home) and finish on another page (NAD, NCC, VOP as examples) Have it default to number of lines displayed vs. characters? Optional thumbnail display on home page as well. Could be autogenerated?
• What are the style sheet codes for Title, byline, subheads in devotional module?
Style Sheet Issues
• Vertical bars in nav links controlled by table style sheet. Should be pulling from nav-links instead.
• Big demand for WYSIWYG style sheet creator. User creates styles by visual choices.
• Centralized place for style sheets. Ability to add if necessary, but draw from default.
Mac issues:
• Uploading photos to the Directory – error message
• When editing a link, the popup window loads in the back of the active window.
• Snippet - refresh problem when placing initial photo/caption
• Editor Tabs - Trouble accessing Main Tab or Advanced Tab after accessing Template Data Tab. Have to save and go back in
• Easy way to remove additional templates when creating custom templates. Too many remmants that confuse the client - duplication, etc.
• Table functions in Mac
System Functions
• Embedded folders must be an option. Easily accessible through image and file management. Workflow in organizations require easy use of creating and accessing folders just like they do when managing other work on their computers.
• Alphabetize graphics in site, not by date modified.
• Template loading graphics - is there a way to have it remember the last item it was on like Dreamweaver does when selecting graphics? Or can template graphics be uploaded via FTP instead of one by one through image and file management?
Editor
• Erase code has to work better. Too much frustration trying to format copy
• Editor is not WSYWIG - and creates alot of confusion
• Inconsistent behavior of editor. Why can't editor be smart and pick up styles from style sheet that is being used on the page?
• Photo sizing issues - can there be autosizing down, or a warning that the image placed has more pixels that being displayed? Site example: http://www.ks-ne.org/article.php?id=2
• How do we address the issue of user comfort with graphics editor programs? They may not have a way to control the image prior to it being loaded. We are not in the business of teaching photoshop, so how can we make this process easier for the end-user who may not be so experienced?
